| Roberto and Catherine set up their now famous Café Brera Espresso bar in London’s Canary Wharf in 1991. It was also to be the first Coffee shop in the newly built financial centre of London. True Pioneers!
Café Brera was created in the true Milanese Style, a perfect fusion of exquisite espresso to be enjoyed in a cosy, chic Italian architecturally designed environment.
Our unique Award winning coffee is made from a secret blend of hand selected coffee beans direct from the farmers, from three different regions round the world. Our selected beans are then roasted by a family of five generations of coffee roasters, in small batches by hand to perfection!
We offer a range of delicious Hand made Pizza, Panini, salads and tempting desserts, which are all made in our shops daily using only the finest ingredients. For instance we only use the finest Mozzarella di Bufala, Campana from Salerno and artisan Pizza flour from Molino Caputo. |

Although bean storage, water, brewing and temperature are important- the most dramatic effect the bean undergoes is the roasting process. Green coffee beans remain stable to the environment for months, but once roasted, coffee characteristics become extremely sensitive to their surroundings. Even if great care is taken during storage, the freshness of coffee cannot last more than a couple of weeks. Since Capanna roasts on the premises we can ensure the freshest roast. This greatly affects the whole beans you buy and the drinks you purchase. Capanna is proud to be providing the freshest coffee possible.

Trident Booksellers & Cafe was opened on Newbury Street in Boston in the fall of 1984 by Bernie and Gail Flynn. They moved to the Boston area in 1983 from Vermont where Bernie had previously owned a bookstore. That store was started in 1976 at the end of the “hippie turned back-to-the-lander, turned Buddhist, turned entrepreneur” sort of era. The immediate motivation for opening a business in Boston was the birth of a son and the concurrent realization that making a living was not optional in the 80′s. The bookstore-cafe idea took shape because at that time in Boston there were very few places to sit down with a fine cup of coffee and linger over a conversation or a book. There were grand ideas and very little capital and a location that was considered the wrong end of Newbury Street. A mixed beginning at best. Now twenty five years later, “The Trident” as we all call it is still alive and continually evolving. The constant struggle with money continues unabated but the pleasure and potential of The Trident bring intangible rewards. In a sense, The Trident is trying to redefine what success in business might be like following the Buddhist notion of right livelihood.
